Wike has issued 2000 Cof Os in 2 years - Elenwo
The Surveyor General of Rivers State, Sur­veyor Elenwo D. C Noel, has urged revealed that Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has signed and issued over 2000 Certificate of Oc­cupancy in less than two years.
He also urged parents to train their children in the way of the Lord and bring them up with sound moral education.
Elenwo made this call when he led a delegation of Surveyor Generals of the 36 states of the federa­tion to Bayelsa State to the burial ceremony of the fa­ther of the Surveyor Gen­eral of Nigeria, Ebisitintei B. Awudu.
Citing the exemplary life of the Surveyor General of Nigeria, Elenwo noted that his parent gave him sound training, which has gained him his present position as the Surveyor General of the federation.
He said: “The quality of man depends on how well he is trained. Surveyor Awudu who we know is a well tutored surveyor, a highly experienced and professional in the field and also someone who has the fear of God.
“Parents should always try to train their children in good moral ways for the future they will face.”
Speaking on the inno­vations going on in Rivers State, Surveyor Elenwo, disclosed that Governor Nyesom Wike has signed and issued out over 2000 Certificate of Occupancy in less than two years to those who acquired land­ed property in the state, as against the previous ad­ministration.
In their seperate speeches, Surveyor Gen­erals of Akwa Ibom, Del­ta state and Cross River expressed their condo­lences to the bereaved family, advising the public to emulate the legacy of late Chief Bietoru Awudu, father of the Surveyor General of the federation in bringing up their chil­dren.
Responding, the Sur­veyor General of the federation, thanked the guests for the love shown him, pointing out that his family upbringing and personality have drawn people from communi­ties, states and abroad to his community despite the distance and risk.-The Authority
