Wike applauded for developmental strides, nominated for award

Governor of Rivers state, Nyeson Wike was yesterday ap­plauded for his develop­mental strides in the state.

The governor, who was nominated for interna­tional media organisation award holding on the 29th of May, was also described as the pillar of the nation’s democracy.

In a statement by Bizen­tol Integrity Media Lim­ited, publishers of Strikee Magazine, Gov Wike was not only described as pil­lar of the nation’s democ­racy, but was commended for his commitment to the well-being of the people of the state through massive infrastructural develop­ment, regular payment of workers’ salaries and resto­ration of peace in.

The statement signed by its Chief Executive Of­ficer, Ms Bisi Ezekiel said Gov Wike was picked for his contributions to the development of the coun­try, his accountability in the conduct of politics and governance as well as his decency and integrity in public and social affairs.
