The Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has disclosed that the the ministry President and other stakeholders in the various sports will meet on April 13 to deliberate on the date for the forth coming elections.
This was made known to The AUTHORITY by the Director of Grassroots Sports development in the Ministry, Aare Ademola, who however said the venue was yet to be decided.
He said that among the objectives of the meeting will be to give all interest groups and persons an opportunity to air their views on how best to conduct the election, as well as make public the date for the elections.
"We have sent out invitations to stakeholders for a proposed meeting on the 13th of this month. Our aim is to get everyone that has interest in sports to come forward and air their views on how we can conduct a hitch-free sports federation election.
"Also on that day, we will announce the date the elections will hold.
"This election is very important as it is the tonic that the Federations have been waiting for to move forward with various activities as everything seems stagnant for now. And by the grace of God it will be successful”, he concluded. - The Authority
