The Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernet Rohr has declared that his ,lads are now confident to face the African champions, Cameroon in August, when they will clash in the back- to- back Russia 2018 FIFA world cup Africa qualifier, following their performance against Senegal in an international friendly match last Thursday in London. The two African giants played to a 1-1 draw at the Hive Stadium in London, England, with Moussa Sow netting for Senegal, while Kelechi Iheanacho scored for Nigeria. Rohr expressed his satisfaction with the Super Eagles performance, noting that they used the game against a more physically structured Senegal as preparation for their upcoming 2019 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Cameroon in August, 2017. ?We chose to play Senegal because of their physicality as we will be playing Cameroon in our next qualifiers. "It was great to see how our players stood up to the challenge of playing teams like these. I was happy with them in that respect. ?Now they have more confidence to face Cameroon. They have players who have the belief that being champions brings the hign, but we are ready to face them in August. But we know that if we get a win over Cameroon, it will give us a great chance of being at the World Cup."
