Swiss International Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of a management agreement with the Al Zamil real estate group towards the devel­opment of the Swiss Internation­al Hotel & Resort at Al Qassim Touristic City project.
Al Zamil real estate group is one of the arms of the Zamil Group that develops residential communities and office com­mercial properties in Saudi Ara­bia and Bahrain.
The signing ceremony took place at the Governor’s Palace in the presence of Prince Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud, the Governor of the Al Qassim Region.
The Al Qassim touristic pro­ject is spread over 95,000 sqm land which is also said to be the biggest touristic project in the Al Qassim region. Al Qassim prov­ince, known for its rich heritage, nature and traditional crafts and its geographic location, has be­come a hub of diverse cultures and a variety of festivals.
With the factors serving as an opportunity for hoteliers in the region, the Swiss International Al Qassim touristic project will of­fer, among others: a hotel of 135 rooms, restaurants - Swiss café – restaurant and lounge, grill room, Mediterranean restaurant, banquet hall with the capacity to sit 1,000 persons at a time, a ten­nis court, conference rooms and children’s entertainment centre.
Swiss International aims at be­coming the leading hotel brand in the Middle East as well as Af­rica. In pursuit of this objec­tive, Swiss International recent­ly moved its service center to Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
With Swiss International car­rying 4 hotels brands: Roy­al Swiss (Luxury), Swiss In­ternational Hotels & Resorts (upscale), Swiss Spirit Hotels & Suites (Mid-market) and Yes Inn (Economy) as well as its associ­ated concepts under its umbrella makes it possible for the compa­ny to reach its expansion objec­tive of having 150 hotels global­ly by the year 2020. -culled from The Authority
